On September 6, 2012, we will host our 9th Annual National LATINA Symposium. The conference will commence with a ceremonial breakfast following a series of workshops that will allow participants to learn about relevant issues with a focus on advancing Latinas in the workplace, business, and higher education. Specifically, during the morning, we will have a series of workshops that will focus on Latinas in the Military, including but not limited to Leadership, Career Development, and Workplace Transitions. This Conference will culminate with the Distinguished Military Awards Luncheon, where LATINA Style presents a recognition program honoring the accomplishments of women serving in the Armed Forces. The Distinguished Military Awards Luncheon is a one of a kind gathering that is a showcase event in Washington, D.C. and an integral part of Hispanic Heritage month activities in the Nation’s capital. The awardees are honored for their service to our country, leadership, accomplishments, and commitment to building a strong community.
