LATINA Style
Business Series
A Miami Affair
LATINA Style
Magazine held its
last business series
workshop of the
year, November 30,
2007 at the Doral
Golf Resort and Spa
in Miami, FL. The
event featured a
number of guest
speakers which
included Sonia Maria
Green, director of
the Florida
Initiative at
General Motors
Corporation; Liliam
Lopez, president &
CEO of the South
Florida Chamber of
Commerce and Rebecca
Sosa, commissioner
of the Miami-Dade
County, district 6,
to name a few.
The evening prior to
the event, a dinner
for sponsors,
partners and
speakers at the very
intimate Las Vegas
Cuban Cuisine
restaurant owned by
Irina Vilariño in
the exclusive Coral
Gables, brought
together laughter,
energy and ideas for
future plans. It is
not a surprise that
the spirit of the
organizers
translated
beautifully to the
attendees. The
elegantly private
setting lent itself
perfectly for
business chat with a
dash of class.
The following
morning, guests and
sponsors were
treated to a warm
buffet breakfast.
Panelists covered a
variety of topics
ranging from
business plan
preparation, to
technology
innovations for the
women entrepreneur
of the new
millennium. The
quality of the
panelists and
moderators was
unsurprisingly, of
national caliber
which is another of
the trademarks of
the LATINA Style
Business Series.

Pedro Productions.
Panelists included
Maria De Lourdes
Sobrino, owner and
CEO of Lulu’s
Dessert; Berta
Bravo, president of
The Guayabera Lady
and Victoria
Villalba, president
of Victoria &
Associates. Each
provided strong
examples of the
indomitable spirit
of a determined
business woman.
These women are
intelligent,
attractive,
admirable, and
extremely successful
Latinas. Their words
and general demeanor
was inspiring and,
rather appropriately
indicative of the
participants as a
whole.
Last but not least,
attendees gathered
at the exhibit area
for a networking
reception. Great
prizes were
distributed to
winners.
