LATINA Style Business Series in Sacramento

With enthusiasm and motivation, hundreds of Latinas gathered at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, CA for the 2007 LATINA Style Business Series on Friday, August 10. CEO’s, executives, business-owners, entrepreneurs, and young rising Latinas arrived to this unique event to learn the latest information and resources available to develop their business.

Attendees received with eagerness the first panel entitled “Innovative Resources for Access to Capital.” The panel was moderated by Jeff Hendy, SCORE, panelists were Judith Iglehart, vice president of the international Keiretsu Forum, and Jim O’Neal, district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

During the second panel, “Successful Marketing Strategies for You and Your Business” highlighted by Rossana Drumond, publisher of the Alianza Metropolitan News and Sylvia Reyes, president of Reyes & Associates Consulting, attendees were able to learn about various strategies on developing their business. They were enlightened by their experience and advice.

Throughout the day, Nancy Campbell, client unit executive at Electronics & Computer Integrators Sectors, IBM Group spoke during the “Technology Solutions for Small Business Owners,” panel.

Among the many speakers through out the day were Eric Mandell, chief of Communications & Outreach Procurement Division, California Department to General Services, Christella Sanchez, stakeholder liaison, Internal Revenue Services, Andrea Rosa, principal, The Rosa Group, Katrina L. Salazar, CPA, president of the National Latina Business Women Association in Sacramento, Carol Ornelas, CEO of Visionary Home Builders, Eva Garcia, president, Garcia Realty, among many others.
