Alicia Cervera Lamadrid

Lamadrid was recently
awarded the “Best
Entrepreneur” at the 2007
Stevie Awards for Women in
Business. Considered the
Oscars of the business
world, this Havana-born and
Miami-raised, Cervera
Lamadrid was one of 43
outstanding women recognized
for their accomplishments.
She has become notable for
her work in real estate,
especially in Florida. “As a
finalist I was taken aback,”
she says. “To win is a
remarkable honor and to be
counted among women of such
large, high-profile
organizations is humbling
and inspiring.”

Silvia Perez, Corporate
Relations director for the
Hispanic Chambers of
Commerce (USHCC) has been
named by the United Migrant
Opportunity Services (UMOS)
as its “2007 Hispanic Women
of the Year.” The selection
is based on the level of
responsibility, commitment
to the Latino community and
accomplishments.
“It is an honor to be
recognized by UMOS as the
Hispanic Woman of the Year,”
she says. “Being recognized
by a prestigious
organization such as UMOS,
and by my peers is a
testament to my hard work
growing up as an immigrant
in the U.S.”

House of Representatives
with the Office of
Compliance, Alma R.
Candelaria has joined
11iNetworks as its
president. 11iNetworks,
Inc. is a full service
information technology
protection company that
offers secure solutions,
standards compliance
monitoring, training,
wireless intrusion
prevention and much
more. It also
specializes in
securitizing wireless
networks, specifically
to the Department of
Defense’s 802.11i
standard.

Maricela Cueva

Cueva has been appointed
to vice president of

Echeveste (VPE), a

vice president, Cueva
will be responsible in
managing the Social
Marketing Division’s
services to non-profits,
foundations and
government agencies. She
will also continue to
oversee VPE’s growing
social advertising and

practice areas.
