On October 1-3, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) held its 2007 Public Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.In addition, their 30th Annual Gala was held the evening of October 3rd in Washington D.C.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA)

The National Society of Hispanic MBAs held its 18th Annual Conference and Career Expo October 4-6. The conference held in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center attracted over 8,000 attendees and over 300 corporations and universities

On October 11, the Hispanic Heritage Awards brought together Latino Cultures in honor of Hispanic Leadership and accomplishment in Washington D.C.

MANA, a national latina organization celebrated the 18th Annual Las Primeras Awards Gala on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the National Mussuem of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. Each year, MANA proudly recognizes Latinas who have accomplished "firsts" in their respective fields and significant contributions at the national level.
