Tummy Tuck Jeans

Launched in 2005 by Puerto Rican-born Lisa Rudes-Sandel, “The Tummy Tuck Jeans” feature an exclusive crisscross front panel that holds in the stomach by reducing the stretch in that part of the garment, contours the hips and uplifts the buttocks—and by doing so, allows you to downsize a jeans size!

These are the perfect jeans for mothers who like to be in style and at the same time need to feel comfortable. These jeans will actually accentuate the right parts of your body, including your hips and thighs—and your rear end, too! The stretch material give the jeans a comfortable feel, and they’re available in a variety of colors, starting with the classic blue. The wide range of washes and styles even include a pair with magnificent jewelry designs on the pockets. Because these jeans are high on the waist, they are best worn with shirts, sweaters or T-shirts and are comfortable enough for a long road trip and great for casual Friday at work.

The Tummy Tuck Jeans are hip, trendy and comfortable—perfect for today’s hip and trendy mommy!
Tummy Tuck Jeans are available in all Nordstrom’s and Dillard’s department stores and in over 1,000 local retail stores nationwide.

Winter Vacation

I’m still reminding myself to write “2006” when I sign a check, yet I’ve already accomplished a New Year’s resolution: to try a new sunless-tanning method. Okay, well that wasn’t exactly one of my resolutions, but I did resolve to try new things, and until recently, I had never self-tanned before!

Two weeks ago, I discovered Sunbrushed. Not your average self-tanning spray-can method, the Sunbrushed kit provides pre-tan exfoliant, tan formula, tan extender lotion, gloves (though I recommend using your own elastic gloves for a better fit), and a micro fiber application cloth.

I was hesitant about the whole self-tanning process. I’d heard horror stories—orange skin, blotchy skin, skin that broke out in a rash. I was reassured by Sunbrushed’s promise to tan me “safely and quickly,” and once I opened the pre-tan exfoliant and got a whiff of its sweet, citrus scent, I knew there was no turning back.

Surprisingly, the application process was quite simple. Applying the tanning formula was similar to taking a bath using a washcloth. I was able to apply the formula everywhere without much difficulty. And I began to see my tan form almost immediately, as the formula was still being applied!

After letting it all set it to take effect, I applied the tan extender, which is basically a solution of aloe and rose hips oils that assists in maintaining a self-tan afterglow. My skin was left silky and radiant, as if I had spent my winter at the beach.

Innovative Patches Deliver Significant Reduction in Deeper Lines and Wrinkles Around the Eye

Patches Aren’t Just for Pirates! If you’ve ever dressed up as a pirate for Halloween, you understand the importance of an eye patch: It can make or break the costume! But not all patches are meant to hide the eyes from view. Estée Lauder’s Perfectionist Power Correcting Patch for Deeper Lines and Wrinkles aims to do just the opposite, reducing lines and wrinkles around the eyes and encouraging you to show them off!
The skin surrounding your eyes is delicate and vulnerable to sun damage and everyday wear and tear. The Perfectionist Power Correcting Patch works faster than creams, almost instantly giving your eyes a visible lift and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Younger looking eyes are just 20 minutes away!

The Cabin Cuddler

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to avoid the inevitable scramble to grab a blanket before the plane takes off? There never seem to be enough to go around. And who would be better equipped to come up with a solution to the airplane-blanket shortage than someone who spends every day in the air?
Introducing the Cabin Cuddler, designed by a commercial pilot. The lightweight fleece blanket takes the airplane standard up a few notches with its unique design, including a pocket at one end for your feet and, at the other, shoulder flaps to wrap yourself up in.

Unlike those too-small, too-scarce blankets the airlines provide, this one’s good enough to use on the ground, too. Cuddle up with one in the car, in your favorite reading chair, or on a chilly night on the porch. To take it from place to place, just pack it up in its fashionable carrying bag.
