Feb. 3 brought together the top Latinas in corporate America to honor the top 50 companies for Latinas to work for in the United States at the annual LATINA Style 50 Best Practices in Diversity Conference and Awards Ceremony. In addition to the CEOs and high-ranking Latinas of the top 50 companies, the event was attended by over 300 professional Latinas, federal and White House employees, and influential Hispanic leaders. Held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C., the event was followed by an exclusive White House reception hosted by U.S. Treasurer Anna Escobedo Cabral.

The LATINA Style 50 awards are the result of an extensive survey of the recruitment and employment policies of U.S. corporations as they pertain to Hispanic. This is the seventh year of the awards and the second Best Practices conference.

The conference began with a networking breakfast, sponsored by McDonald’s Corporation. Gloria Santona, corporate executive vice president and general counsel for McDonald’s, addressed the audience: “From fashion to finance, LATINA Style has been a trailblazer in providing information that Hispanic women need to succeed. At McDonald’s, we, too, understand the importance of American Latinas to our business. We’re proud to be long-time believers in the inclusion and full participation of Latinas in all aspects of our society, and in particular the development of Hispanic professionals in corporate leadership roles.”
